The Lausanne Management & Economics Workshop (LME) was launched in 2024 and is hosted by HEC Lausanne, the Business School of the University of Lausanne, on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva.
LME is an international forum dedicated to scholars who are interested in using the conceptual tools and methods of economics to advance the theory and practice of management. LME promotes frontier research covering the key areas of management – including competitive strategy, contracting & governance, non-market strategy, innovation & technology, and human resource management – through the lenses of industrial economics, organizational economics, behavioral economics, political economy, and other relevant branches of economics. LME also promotes the conversation between faculty and PHD students through both interactive discussions during research presentations and 1:1 mentoring meetings that will take place throughout its duration.
Confirmed speakers in this 2nd edition of LME include Mary Benner (University of Minnesota), Susan Helper (Case Western Reserve University), Francine Lafontaine (University of Michigan), Andrea Prat (Columbia University) and Todd Zenger (University of Utah).
We welcome submissions from both faculty and PHD students who share its phenomena and methods of interest. Submissions are due on March 15, 2025, and decisions will be notified in early April.
